Jess Kirby – West Palm Beach Surrealist

September 22, 2024

Meet Jessica Kirby, a South Florida-based artists with a desire to see her art presented in non-traditional ways – like an affordable art vending machine.

“My creative journey traverses the realms of both digital and traditional art, a dance between worlds where whimsy blooms from the depths of my dreams.”

Tell us about your work

I’m both a digital and traditional painter. My digital work is created on my iPad in procreate and produced in the form of framed prints. My traditional painting work is acrylic paint on canvas. I usually work pretty small when I delve into the traditional world – enjoying mini 6×6 square canvas series often. All of my work explores the style of surrealism and is largely inspired by dreams that I have had.

What about your experience? How did you get started?

I’ve worked with S by Serena as a Lead graphic Designer, creating visuals for all email marking campaigns and website materials. I also had influence on the creative directions for marketing campaigns. I spent time as a Senior Designer with WITHIN where I designed for Anheuser-Busch, Acorns, Blue Bottle Coffee Company, Casper, Dr. Squatch Soap, Forever 21, and more. I worked concepting ideas, creating deck, presenting design ideas, storyboarding, editing and final design elements as well.
